St. Louis, Missouri Reunion - Thursday, May 27 - Sunday June 1, 2014

Reunion information

st Louis

Hotel
We will have a hospitality room starting around 2pm on Friday until Sun. night at the hotel. There will be a fridge where you can leave things if you’d like. We will be asking for some money as we do have to pay for the room. $10 a person should suffice

Thursday May 29th
My house around 5 ish for some food and conversation---or earlier and I’ll put you to work, lol.
Please bring/get your own liquor. Best bet is to stop at Schnucks Grocery store which isn’t far from the hotel or my house (I’m about 2 ½ miles from the hotel). If you want something in particular, I can go to Sam’s and check prices but let me know soonest.

Those with cars that offered to cart people around to sights, thank you.
Those getting rides please help pay for gas and parking—but you already know that.

Friday
10AM on Friday we will meet in the hotel lobby to start our sightseeing. Planning to go to brewery and then the art museum.
The art museum is having an impressionist exhibition----if we are able to get tickets, they will be $12 for seniors which includes audio. Otherwise admission to the museum is free. You can check out the other exhibitions at http://www.slam.org/

Dinner Friday at Zia’s restaurant on ‘The Hill’ at 5:30. Individual bills.

Saturday
Downtown to the Gateway Arch. If you wish to go to the top, get tickets immediately upon getting there as the trams fill up. There is an interesting Westward Expansion exhibited in the museum area and a movie on the building of the Arch. You can check it all out at: http://www.gatewayarch.com/

Some may want to go to the Botanical Gardens http://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/ or our world class zoo http://www.stlzoo.org/ afterwards. Zoo is free, parking is not.
Also close to the hotel and my house in Faust Park is a wonderful Butterfly House worth seeing.

Judy Shaw has been kind enough to host us at her house on Sat. evening at 6.

Sunday
Those staying Sunday are welcome to come to our Innsbrook Lake place in the country (50 or so minutes by car). I will order food and cost will depend on number of people. (You can swim in the lake, play tennis, or just sit and enjoy the scenery.) We have kayaks, a canoe and a fishing boat for you to enjoy.

More info to follow, just wanted to give you a rough outline.
Tanya
