Caracas in the 1950's !     New Here?

A Virtual Reunion          (maintained by Harry Baya - E-mail: admin@boppers.net)

We were English speaking teenagers in Caracas in the 1950's. We were of many nationalities (U.S., English, German, Dutch, Italian, Venezuelan …).   Some of us lived in Caracas year-round, while others attended schools in the U.S. and spent summers in Caracas.

Most of us lived in the Eastern part of the City (Las Mercedes, El Rosal, Alta Mira… ).    We were an active community of friends living in a unique place and time.

Do you remember:    Colegio Americano,    Campo Alegre,    Valle Arriba,    The Little Theater Club,    The Country Club,     El Tamanaco,    The Galipan Building,    The Auto Mercado,    summer parties with American 45rpms or latin bands,     "Cuba Libres",     Arepas !!!,    Perros Callientes,    Laguaira,    Beach Parties,    Camp Schlageter     Climbing Naiguata,    friends with motorcycles,    poker nights?            What should be added to this list?

Join us here to invoke those memories and reconnect with friends from that era.   This site contains messages, photos, addresses and other information given to me by members of this community.    If you knew any of us then, please join us now!
